EcoFOCI Drifters
Animation and data links
|
EcoFOCI drifters are drogued at 40 meters and released during various research cruises each year, especially late Winter into Spring, and in the Fall. Once released, the drifter transmitter sends position information via satellite to Argos. These coordinates are delivered daily to EcoFOCI via email, and processed into drifter animations. Eventually the data are processed and analyzed, then posted to our Drifter Data web site.
